POWERUP UP3K | 3 KW HYDROGEN FUEL CELL GENERATOR

The 3000W UP3K is a portable hydrogen fuel cell generator with a continuous electric power output of up to 3 kW and has been specifically designed for mobile, off-grid, and critical applications. It utilizes PEM fuel cell technology (Proton Exchange Membrane) and generates electricity electrochemically from hydrogen and oxygen from the ambient air – emission-free and without combustion.

In operation, the UP3K operates quietly, odorlessly, and without CO₂, NOx, or particulate emissions, making it particularly suitable for sensitive environments such as indoor spaces, disaster response, medical applications, or safety-relevant areas. The lack of moving main components results in very low maintenance requirements, enhancing operational safety and availability.

The system provides a nominal voltage of 48 V DC, is ready for immediate use (Plug & Play), and features integrated functionalities such as grid failure detection, various operating modes (battery and generator operation), and interfaces for remote monitoring and control. The generator is modular and scalable, allowing for multiple units to be operated in parallel to provide higher power outputs.

With compact dimensions and a weight of around 42 kg, the UP3K is easily transportable and can be utilized in different configurations, such as a 19-inch rack solution, in containers, or on mobile carrier systems. In combination with green hydrogen, the UP3K enables a fully climate-neutral power supply and provides a sustainable alternative to conventional diesel generators – particularly where emission-free operation, quietness, and reliability are crucial.

Some PowerUP systems can optionally be equipped with battery storage. This combination creates a hybrid energy system that not only utilizes hydrogen but can also store and intelligently provide electrical energy.

This allows the systems to be flexibly used as a backup or UPS solution – for example, during power outages, in sensitive infrastructures, or in off-grid locations. Moreover, the battery systems can compensate for peak loads and high inrush currents, enabling connected consumers to operate more efficiently and stably. The result is a reliable, emission-free, and intelligent energy supply that seamlessly bridges both short-term load fluctuations and longer power outages. POWERUP UP3K – SMART REMOTE MONITORING

PowerUP offers a cloud-based solution for monitoring and remote control, enabling users to access their systems anytime and from anywhere.

Through a secure 4G/5G connection, operational data is transmitted to the cloud in real-time – while authorized users can remotely control and adjust system parameters. This allows for starting and stopping operations, performance adjustments, or diagnostic functions to be carried out online without the need for technical personnel on-site.

The integrated cloud portal allows for:

  • Real-time monitoring of performance data, operational states, and hydrogen consumption,
  • Remote control of central functions and parameters,
  • Logging and analysis of all operational and system events,
  • Predictive maintenance through automatic notifications and data analysis.

POWERUP UP3K – GAS AND LEAK MONITORING FOR MAXIMUM SAFETY

Some PowerUP systems can optionally be equipped with a gas and leak monitoring feature. This sensor technology continuously monitors the operating range of the system and detects even the smallest hydrogen leaks or gas leakages at an early stage.

In the event of an anomaly, an automatic warning message is triggered – either locally via acoustic and visual signals or remotely through cloud integration. This allows the system to be quickly and safely shut down in case of emergency, protecting people, equipment, and the environment.
