ECOPOWERSTATION PRO3 | 15 KWH MOBILE BATTERY STORAGE

The ecoPowerStation PRO3 is designed for applications where a compact battery storage alone is insufficient, while a conventional generator is not desired or practical. 15 kWh gross capacity. 13.5 kWh usable energy. 11 kW continuous output. Up to 32 kW short term. 230 V and 400 V. If even more energy or power is required, two systems can be connected. According to specifications, this allows for up to 30 kWh gross capacity and up to 64 kW maximum discharge power in parallel operation.

More power where no fixed power supply is available.
Whether at construction sites, welding operations, service jobs, event technology, or sensitive working environments: the ecoPowerStation PRO3 delivers powerful electrical energy directly to the user. Do you want to know if the ecoPowerStation PRO3 is suitable for your application? Key considerations include required continuous output, potential starting currents, daily energy demand, desired autonomy, and available charging options. Based on this information, it can be determined whether a single PRO3 or a parallel system is the right solution.

MORE POWER. MORE CAPACITY. SAME MOBILITY.

The ecoPowerStation PRO3 is the more powerful evolution of the proven ecoPowerTrolley concept. It offers significantly more energy and higher performance reserves, without altering the compact and robust housing principle. With a 15 kWh gross capacity, 13.5 kWh usable energy, 11 kW continuous output, and a maximum discharge capacity of 32 kW, the ecoPowerStation PRO3 is designed for professional applications where reliable high energy and performance are critical. Whether on construction sites, for service, event technology, or temporary power supply: Energy is available exactly where it is needed, independent of the fixed power grid.

Take more energy with you. Access more power. Require less infrastructure.
230 V and 400 V for professional consumers. In professional use, a simple 230 V power supply is often insufficient. Welding machines, pumps, heavy power tools, machinery, or event technology may require 400 V three-phase power and high inrush currents. The ecoPowerStation PRO3 therefore provides both 400 V three-phase power via CEE16 and 230 V alternating current. Two outlets are available for 230 V consumers. This allows different devices and machines to be operated directly on-site without the need for a complex power infrastructure to be established first.

15 kWh energy for extended operations
Inside the ecoPowerStation PRO3 is a lithium-ion battery using NMC cell technology. The gross capacity is 15 kWh, of which 13.5 kWh net capacity is available according to the data sheet. This provides the PRO3 with significantly more energy reserve than smaller portable battery systems. This additional capacity can be crucial, especially for longer work periods or consumers with consistently high power demands. The actual operating time always depends on the connected consumer. A device with low power consumption can be operated for many hours, while power-intensive machines will draw the stored energy more quickly.

11 kW continuous output and up to 32 kW for short bursts
In a professional energy system, it is not only important how much energy is stored but also how quickly this energy can be delivered. The ecoPowerStation PRO3 provides 11 kW continuous discharge power and can deliver a maximum discharge power of 32 kW for short bursts. According to the data sheet, this peak value applies for ten seconds within the specified power factor range. This power reserve is particularly interesting for consumers that require significantly more power when starting up or during brief load spikes than during normal operation. This includes, for example, welding machines, heavy power tools, or other machines with high inrush currents.

Up to 64 kW in parallel operation
If a single ecoPowerStation PRO3 is not enough, the system can be expanded. By using the integrated parallel connection, two units can be linked together. This increases both the available power and the stored energy. In parallel mode, the data sheet specifies a maximum discharge power of 64 kW. At the same time, a total of up to 30 kWh gross capacity is then available. This allows the power supply to grow with the demands without having to immediately switch to a completely different system class.

AN ELECTRIC ALTERNATIVE TO A PORTABLE GENERATOR

Where high mobile performance is required, diesel or gasoline generators are often used. However, these come with ongoing engine noise, local emissions, fuel handling, and maintenance efforts. The ecoPowerStation PRO3 takes a different approach. Energy is stored electrically beforehand and made available at the site via the integrated power electronics. This means it does not require fossil fuels or lubricants during operation. At the same time, it operates without an internal combustion engine, thus avoiding engine noise and local emissions. This can provide a significant advantage, especially in indoor spaces, noise-sensitive areas, or at temporary events.

Less maintenance effort in daily operation
In traditional generators, the engine is part of the maintenance plan. Oil changes, filters, operating materials, and regular service tasks incur effort and ongoing costs. In contrast, the ecoPowerStation PRO3 is based on a low-maintenance battery concept. According to the product description, this eliminates fuel logistics and the typical service intervals of an internal combustion generator. This does not mean that a battery system requires no oversight at all. Electrical components, connections, and the overall system must still be properly inspected and maintained. However, the typical maintenance needs of an internal combustion engine are eliminated.

FAST CHARGING IN ABOUT TWO HOURS

Those who use mobile energy professionally need not only a lot of capacity but also short charging times. The ecoPowerStation PRO3 can be charged in various ways. At 230 V, the specified standard charging time up to 90% charge is around eight hours. A fast charge is possible in about two hours via a 400 V CEE16 connection. The maximum charging power is 7 kW. This allows the battery to be significantly recharged, for example, between two work shifts or during longer breaks.

Charging via 230 V, 400 V, or photovoltaics
The ecoPowerStation PRO3 is designed not only to provide energy in various ways but also to be charged flexibly. Charging methods include 230 V, 400 V, and a PV micro-inverter. This allows the system to be charged both traditionally from the power grid and in combination with a suitable photovoltaic solution. Especially in remote or long-term deployments, this option offers additional independence. Renewable energy can be generated on-site, stored, and later used for machines or other consumers.

More energy without getting bigger
One of the unique features of the PRO3 is that the increased capacity and power are housed in the same basic format as the proven trolley concept. The dimensions are 944 × 357 × 596 mm. The total weight is 99 kg. Thus, the system remains compact despite a capacity of 15 kWh, designed for mobile professional use. It is not about making a stationary battery storage system simply portable. The PRO3 has been conceived from the beginning as a mobile energy source with a high power density.

ROBUST FOR DEMANDING WORK ENVIRONMENTS

On construction sites, during service operations, or in event areas, technology must withstand significantly more than in a protected technical room. The ecoPowerStation PRO3 has a protection rating of IP65 and is therefore protected against dust and water jets according to the data sheet. The housing is made of aluminum and plastic. Discharge is possible within the specified temperature range of -10 °C to +45 °C. The PowerStation can be charged from 0 °C to +40 °C. Thus, it is designed for changing and demanding operating conditions.

Safety as part of the design
A mobile power source with high performance must not only be efficient but, above all, safe. The ecoPowerStation PRO3 features an integrated battery management system at SIL2 level. The specified safety features include complete disconnection, over- and under-temperature cut-off, over- and under-voltage cut-off, as well as redundant overcurrent cut-off. Additionally, each battery cell is protected by a patented overcurrent protection. An insulation monitoring system is also integrated. On the power electronics side, short-circuit protection and an electronic fuse are implemented. This establishes safety on multiple levels and is not solely entrusted to a single protective component.

INFORMATION DIRECTLY ON THE TOUCHSCREEN

With a mobile energy system, it is important to be able to assess the current status at any time. The ecoPowerStation PRO3 is therefore equipped with a TFT touchscreen. It displays various information including charge state, operating mode, output power, charging power, operating time, and charging duration. Additionally, the system provides alerts and error messages. These include temperature issues, overload, undervoltage, faulty components, or an insulation fault. This way, the user can see not only that electricity is available, but also how the system is currently performing.

High Efficiency and Passive Cooling
The power electronics achieve an efficiency of over 95% at nominal power, according to the datasheet. At the same time, the system operates with passive cooling. High efficiency is particularly important in a battery system. Every unnecessarily lost kilowatt-hour directly reduces the available runtime and is ultimately predominantly released as heat. Efficient power electronics thus directly contribute to making the stored energy as useful as possible.

POWER FOR PROFESSIONAL APPLICATIONS

For Construction Sites
On construction sites, heavy machinery and power tools are often operated before a final electrical infrastructure is in place. The ecoPowerStation PRO3 can deliver 230 V and 400 V directly to the work area. This reduces the need for temporary wiring. This is particularly interesting for changing job locations or short-term deployments: Energy is moved to where work is currently being done.

For Welding Equipment and Heavy Power Tools
Welding machines and larger power tools place high demands on a mobile power source. In addition to the continuous power output, very high currents can occur during startup or short load spikes. The PRO3 has a high short-term power reserve of up to 32 kW specifically for this purpose. The product documentation explicitly mentions welding machines and heavy power tools as typical applications. This makes the mobile battery not only an energy storage device but also a powerful power source for demanding consumers.

For Service and Assembly
During service work, it’s not always clear what power supply is available at the destination. The ecoPowerStation PRO3 can carry a significant portion of the required energy directly in the service vehicle. On-site, the system is positioned, and the necessary devices are connected. This makes service work more predictable and reduces dependence on the existing infrastructure.

For Events and Event Technology
Event technology often requires high power, while noisy generators are undesirable. The ecoPowerStation PRO3 allows for the provision of large electrical power without a running combustion engine. This makes it particularly interesting for technical installations where noise generation and local exhaust fumes should be avoided. Event technology is explicitly mentioned as an application area in the product documentation.

For Indoor Settings and Sensitive Environments
A key advantage of a battery system is that combustion is not necessary at the point of use. This means there are no local engine exhausts and no engine noise. The product description explicitly identifies indoor spaces, sensitive environments, and noise-sensitive areas as suitable locations for use. It is especially here that the ecoPowerStation PRO3 enables applications for which a traditional combustion generator would be only partially suitable.

STORING ENERGY INSTEAD OF TRANSPORTING FUEL

In a generator, energy is brought to the job site as fuel and converted into electricity through combustion. In contrast, the ecoPowerStation PRO3 stores electrical energy in the battery beforehand. This means for use: no fuel canister, no refueling, and no local combustion. The stored energy is provided directly as 230 or 400 V electricity. This simplifies logistics and can offer advantages, especially for frequent or recurring uses.

Sustainability through renewable energy
The sustainability of a battery storage system depends not only on the battery itself but also on what is used to charge it. For instance, if the ecoPowerStation PRO3 is charged with renewable electricity, that energy can be stored and utilized later at an entirely different location. The specified charging option via a PV micro-inverter allows the system to be combined with photovoltaic technology. This enables energy generation and energy consumption to be separated both spatially and temporally.
